What data we process and why

Browsing the site does not require you to provide any data, and we use no tracking tools or third-party analytics.

If you fill in a form (contacts, assistance, access request, complaints, information on certifications and patents, security reports) we process the data you enter: name, company or organisation, email, phone (if given) and the content of the message. We use it only to answer your request.

Legal basis

Processing is necessary to follow up your request and to carry out pre-contractual or contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for assistance requests and complaints, to meet obligations tied to the service and for our legitimate interest in handling reports properly (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Technical data and security

To protect the forms from abuse, the server keeps for at most 24 hours a non-reversible code (hash) of the IP address, used only to limit the number of closely spaced submissions. The forms do not record the IP address in clear. The web server may keep technical access logs for the time strictly needed for security and diagnostics.

Recipients and transfers

Form data is sent by email to the relevant internal team. It is not disclosed or sold. The providers that host the site and email may access it, appointed as processors. The site loads no resources from third-party services and transfers no data outside the European Economic Area.

Retention

We keep requests for the time needed to handle them and, in any case, no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise or we need to defend a right in court.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@smaart.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Providing your data

Fields marked as required are necessary to answer the request; without them we cannot follow it up. There is no automated decision-making.
